Kuroma is the brainchild of Hank Sullivant, a man you may have come to know as former bassist for the Whigs and recent touring guitarist for MGMT. Having spent much of his musical career as a piece of these two indie music giants, Kuroma’s debut release Paris is the first true fruit of Sullivant’s labor. Although it’s undeniable that he brings some of MGMT’s poppy psychedelic vibe to his latest project, Sullivant gives Kuroma a style of its own by infusing other musical influences into his work. One listen through Paris you’ll get a taste of some pop, folk, and good ol’ rock’n’roll.

For the next while here I am going to be posting more Quick blurbs on about new music that I find. I’m not saying I discovered them because obviously there is more music out there than any one person can possible knows about, but I want to share my finds because some times it’s hard to find something worth listening to when you have to search through the top 100. You have to see the forest through the trees!
Each Post will hopefully have a music video or at least a link to one as some bands request to have embedding disabled.
Next post should be later on today.
Welcome to the personal blog and showcase of Adam Patterson, an Edmonton Based Graphic and Web Designer. The basic principle behind my site is to give my work a home for people to view and to voice my opinion on a variety of topics.
The site is running off of WordPress with a custom CSS and XHTML theme for WordPress, The Gallery is running on ZenPhoto.
I have lived with computers all my life. My interest started along time ago, when I first used Adobe Photoshop 3.0 . My interest in visual design led to the Multimedia program at Alberta College (the program is now run by NAIT) were I graduated in 2002.
Since then, I have been doing freelance work, and have launched a number of company websites. Besides web design, I have worked in print, photography, audio and video editing, and logo design. I have kept up to date with current web trends such as Web 2.0, Grid Design, Standards and Content Management. I have a passion for multimedia and programming.
Prior to joining nForm, I worked for five years at United Cycle were I was in charge of training the mechanics on hydraulic braking systems, suspension theory, and wheel building. I also contributed to a number of company procedures that has improved work flow and reduced the customer turn around. As a Certified Bike Mechanic, I naturally have a passion for mountain biking.

Recently added a few new photos that were published in my photoblog, they are actually some of my favorites.
I was reading a blog post from Jeremy Brooks
about a man who threaten legal action because his photo was taken. I have had some issues doing video work a few years back of a lady who said she was in witness protection and that she wanted the tape back.
Its important to know your rights, there is a good article at Photojojo on The Ten Legal Commandments of Photography. Read thought it, and make sure you are abiding by the Law.

This is the current photo for today on The Wondering Photographer, I bounced the flash and used a macro shot of some 4H lead from my drafting pencil. I like the texture of the paper as well as the lead.
I increased the resolution on my photoblog so they are larger now, and as well learned that Camera Raws export messes up the Colour Profiles, so any new photos (in a month or so) will have more saturation and the correct colour profile, so if you lucky and using Safari on a Mac and maybe a PC you wont have any issues at the moment. I also did some cleanup on the design and added some more meta data to the images.
Check it out here.
Today i updated the gallery to reflect some of hte images that have been posted in thewonderingphotographer.com. I also have cuple hundred photos to add in sets as well as other images that need to be sorted for the photo blog as well as the gallery. On top of all that i have some RAW files to go through and develop that have been sitting in my to do folder for months now.
Lots to come.
My friend Dan Barham had recently converted his site to use the new plugin from cooliris called PicLens, available for Mozilla here. It instantly transforms a media RSS file into a 3d wall gallery. It has also got search support for Flickr, Google, and yahoo to name a few.
I have been working on a new photo blog The Wondering Photographer that should be up as soon as i get a good stock of images ready for it. The photo blog is running on Pixelpost. I was looking at the feed code in pixelpost and was able to modify it easy enough, it doesn’t seam like any one has done this yet, at least in my searches i only found questions.
This inst really new but i thought it was cool, as i was playing it on the Wacom Cintiq 21UX Monitor tablet monitor and it seamed a bit more real.
The premise of the game is to solve puzzles using shapes to get a ball from point A to point B. and since the tablet monitor lets you draw it was a lot of fun. At the moment there is a Deluxe version that will let you use other shapes to and fulcrums and pivots to solve the puzzles.
Get the Crayon Game.
Watching Britney’s much talked about opening show for the MTV Video Awards was like watching the opening episodes of So You Think You Can Dance. Britney looked awkward, slow, and some what confused. I would compare her performance to the feeling of being hungover and trying to pretend you feel great, but all you really want to do is sleep. She came close to falling over, looked like she was out of it, and I’m sure she was lip syncing most of it.
After having a look and the Official MTV Blog and reading a few of the comments about 2650 of them are agreeing with me.
I do however think that the people commenting on her Body should probably consider the fact that calling her fat or out of shape will only give the wrong impression that so many people have tried to instill in people that there is a healthy weight and an unhealthy weight, and the unhealthy weight goes to the heavy and the light side. Keep in mind that Britney’s weight after having two kids seams pretty good to me, dancing not so good though.
