Sharp Aquos 42″ 1080p LCD Television

Last weekend Kristi and i bought a Sharp Aquos 42″ 1080p LCD Television and the first thing that surprised me was how light it was. Probably half the weight of our old Sony TV.

The second thing was how large it was when it was actually set up. i guess most of the TV’s in the store were 40-46 so it was hard to compare sizes.

After hooking it up and testing a DVD and having the wow factor we turned to the cable and i was disgusted.

So we went and bought a HDTV PVR to solve…

I recently opened my PhotoBlog to the public and noticed after i uploaded some 95 images that they were all visible to the public, this was a problem since i wanted to have them display one day after the other.

At the moment pixelpost does not support this feature, although after looking around in the code i can see that it should be coming out very shortly.

For the time being I created a Addon that allows you to select any images you want and then cast them into the future, removing them from the public view as well…

Its – 46C!

Well yesterday was about -25c with wind chill was about -43c and i decided to go for a walk and play in the snow drifts. Today its -31 and with wind chill is a balmy -46c, colder than Yellow Knife!

Needless to say the roads are covered in drifted snow, the side walks blend in with the rest to the snow. Its almost impossible to take your glove off check the time and not freeze your hand.

Seams like winter came late!

Cintiq 21UX

Well along with a new job comes new toys. I have not had much time to really play with my new Cintiq 21UX monitor, but the experiences i have had in illustrator and photo shop have been amazing. I find my self needing to know more shortcuts using the stylus opposed to using the mouse. Your arm will be very sore at the end of the day. Not that knowing all the little shortcuts is a bad thing. I really like using the Cintiq 21UX in photo shop especially when doing photo retouches. its much more…
