I have needed to replace my monitor for a while now. I’m still using my close to 5 year old ViewSonic GS790 monitor, it’s getting a little fuzzy around the edges and could use some more brightness. When i started at nForm they treated me to a Dell UltraSharp 2007WFP monitor. At first i was exited because it was so large, then i turned it on at was instantly amazed at how bright and crisp it was. My eyes were pleased, this was the first time i have really spent any time on an LCD and i must say i love this monitor.
The monitor also has 15-pin D-Sub, DVI-D, S-Video and Composite Connectors, and will allow you to change your inputs with a bush of a button. lets say you are working on two computers. then switch it over to say your mac. maybe you are watching tv and need to do some work, no problem the monitor has picture in picture.
How much could this monitor cost? well i wondered the same thing after using it. i took a stroll over to the Dell website and had a look turns out its only a measly $399 us.
I unfortunately do not have any sort of LCD monitor, But i have worked on a 23″ cinema display with a few dead pixels and was annoying.
Instead of accepting your pixel losses and moving your icons and applications around the unsightly view of the pink pixel. This tutorial i found while on a completely other tangent will help you solve your woes.
Ok I’m not going to say to much about the apple iPhone. I’m sure every one knows how cool it is, about its accelerometers to sense movements, and how you can surf the net in a real browser, oh yea and how its the coolest iPod ever. But what i think is crazy is how some one out there has thought of taking a free g-mail service and then going on and selling that e-mail address for a large amount of money. i was looking around e-bay and found a few e-mail addresses for sale. Ranging from 0.79 – 299.99 for some creative names like Apple.IPhone.Store@gmail.com and this one seams to be the most popular selling at 299.99 Apple.iPhone.On.Sale@gmail.com
It would appear to me that people are bidding on this auction and not really looking into the fine print. the auction shows a lot of cool pictures of the features and even goes on the jazz it up with some fancy jargon:

Simply for the cool factor, I found this site this morning looking at the Microsoft Zune player and found a site with a bunch of cool art work and motion graphics for the Zune. My favorite would have to be the bitter sweet robot and the MIS break dancing Lego looking guys.

I remember talking to a few people about Apples change over to Intel and pondering the future possibilities. One of them being that they should have a huger performance gain. The other being Intel chips on a Mac and in a PC should eventual lead to OS X running on a PC. i was searching around the net today and stumbled upon this! OS X86 Project seams there is a community devoted to updating and keeping track of all hardware and software issues as well as patches needed to run OS X on a PC. as of will be a AMD version in time.
Internet explorer is finally here. And it’s looking cool, seams as though they have jumped on the tabbed browsing bandwagon. Improvements come to security manageability, RSS, CSS, and finally PNG transparency.

WordPress 2.0.5 was released a few hours ago it seams to be mostly security and bug fixes so nothing super exiting to report on. I have also done some house cleaning on the site. added some colourful mini icons (I’m going to post soon on were to get a bunch) removed some clutter and tweaked some other things.
There is a 2.0.5 Tune-up Plugin.
