Lately there has been a good storm at least every other day, last night it was pleasant to go from +30c to a mild 15c. When i saw the lighting and no rain i ran to the hill and started shooting. i got about 15 photos of some good lightning. They will end up in the gallery when i have some time to go through them all. I have about 900 images to sort through.
I need a better management system and thus has sparked a new project that i will talk about at a later date.
On June 14th, Julian Dabbagh, 33, a father, husband and friend to many, was killed in a tragic car accident near Kamloops.
Julian was a good friend to me throughout high school and was sad to hear about his departure. He was a father of 2 children and one on the way.
If any one is planning on making any donations for any of my scripts or just because please send the here to the trust fund.

that is except for an Apple store. Until now! Apple will open its first Alberta store on July 1. selling
Macintosh computers, iPod’s and iPhone’s.
I’m not to sure about the iPhone sales unless Apple now supports the unlocking of there iPhone.
More on the iPhone in Canada.
Something buzzing around Alberta and maybe even further is the talk about Carbon Capture and storage. What is it you might ask? Well in an effort to reduce Greenhouse Emissions Alberta is looking into Carbon Capture to reduce the impact the oil industry is having on the environment, basically greenhouse gas emissions will be locked deep underground.
One issue i was thinking about is what would happen if the gas that has been captured, mainly CO2 were to leak out of the. If it were to find its way into water it could turn it acidic and begin to eat away at the bed rock or any other material around it. A Co-Worker commented and said turning it into pop.
That made me wonder how much CO2 comes from pop and is it possible that it could be leading to global warming?
well i did a bit of looking and some calculations and found out that its entirely possible that it could be harmful
Based on the numbers i found the US consumed 15 Billion Gallons of Soda Pop in 2000, another site told me that per 454 Milliliters of Pop there is approximately 2.2. grams of CO2.
Let me brake it down. Read on..
Spring is in the air, or is that snow? We went from +15 to -15 with about 8″ of show in 2 days and it apparently isn’t stopping any time soon. Lovely weather too! nice and windy.
I have been riding the past 3 weeks to work and now I’m back on the old bobsled.
Usually Eastern Canada gets the spring dumb, but mother nature is making up for all the years of good weather we have had.

Small Update on my UPS battle.
Apparently my claim is still unsettled and United Cycle still doesn’t have there money, i still don’t have my refund. I was also told that the claim is past due and about to be closed because they didn’t receive the proper paper work fast enough. Interesting when it has now been 10 months and they wont contact you to keep you up to date, and the contact you get from them doesn’t reply to emails or phone calls for months on end. So even thought the paper work has been faxed, they some how don’t have it.
I’m beginning to wonder if this will ever be resolved?

Well i have switched my gallery over to Zenphoto instead of Gallery2. I was tired of all the “extra” features that gallery 2 had while none of them worked while embedded in Wordpress, and while the support for word press was there the plugins were often slow and lacked a quick and intuitive interaction. Zenphoto is a super light but easy to customize and all the features i want work great. The thumbnails are more vibrant and much sharper, i’m not sure what was wrong with Gallery2 but everything looked fuzzy.
Some things to look for are image comments, image ratings, as well as my PicLens Mod.
Turns out that the family effected had submissions that some of there drinks may have been drugged with the date rape drug. 3 other people from the air plain were also quarantined because they were in the vicinity of the family and were also quarantined, turns out the work in the same office as me.
to show them our support we surrounded there work area in polly, looks like something from ET or Outbreak.
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - A Canada-bound plane is back in the air after being forced to make an emergency landing in Florida because of sick passengers.
Eight passengers felt sick sometime after the flight took off from the Dominican Republic. Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport spokesman Greg Meyer says Air Transat flight 477 was quarantined on the runway after it landed late Tuesday.
The ill passengers turned out to be family members who had eaten together. All are hospitalized, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention determined that their illness wasn’t airborne.
The flight continued its trip to Edmonton, Canada, early Wednesday.

Time sure fly’s Aiden is almost 4 months old, it was like one day he did nothing but sleep and poop, and now hes laughing, making all kinds of noises, kicking like mad. i must say when i took these pictures i definitely got a bunch of expressions in the span of a new minutes.
Being a dad is definitely cool! Luckily he sleeps through the night and has been doing that since he was 1 month old, so i’m no longer my former zombie self.
Last night i was lucky enough to get a few phonographs of the Lunar Eclipse, the sky was clear but the moon was low in the horizon and thus taking a good sharp photo was next to impossible. But at least i managed to gat a nice exposure of it.
Had i known how long it would take before the moon was totally eclipsed by the earths shadow i would have stayed indoors for at least another 30 min before venturing out side.
Starting at 8:42 p.m. ET (7:43 p.m. CT, 6:43 p.m. MT and 5:43 p.m. PT) and lasting for three hours, the last total lunar eclipse before 2010 was visible anywhere in North America lucky enough to have clear skies, according to NASA. It was also visible in Europe and Africa.
A lunar eclipse occurs when the Earth’s shadow blocks the sun’s rays from hitting the moon. The three bodies must be perfectly aligned during a full moon, a rare event because the orbits of the moon and Earth are not on the same plane.

Sheldon Brown was a name i heard many times in my years as a bicycle mechanic. His web site http://sheldonbrown.com is a constants source of reference for almost every bike shop. I learned a lot from is extensive wisdom.
Sheldon Brown (July 14, 1944 - February 3, 2008) was an American bicycle mechanic from Boston, Massachusetts. His trademark beard and plastic helmet-mounted eagle, named Igor, were his trade marks.
I was in contact with Sheldon a few weeks ago going over my spoke calculator and working on the new release with him witch he was going to host as a tool on his website.
Sheldon was actually some of the inspiration behind my spoke calculator, I’m glad he got to see it and liked what he saw.
