I have been using the same old pair of Sony monitor headphones for 7 years now, in that time I have broken both adjustment pieces. If you were to take a look you would see Super Glue and Tape, a sad attempt to keep them together. I have gone through 3 pairs of apple iPod headphones (not the best) wither the cables broke or they simple died.
I started to look at headphones and ideally wanted to avoid ear buds. Since I am a bike commuter I cannot ware monitor headphones and a helmet at the same time. So I began to look at
Shure, Bose, Sennheiser and Monster for headphones. It was not new to me that Dr Dre has a set of headphones called Beats. When I compared the price of all for brands (about $160-200cnd) I found it hard to tell what would be a good fit for me. I settled on the Monster Bears for couple of reasons. I don’t need a mic which some only came in, and I wanted a cable that would not brake or get tangled (I heard it took 10 years to develop the cables).
That said, they sound great. There noise isolation is very good and when you take them out event with the volume cranked you can barely hear them.
They sound really good on my iPod and they sound even better on my harman/kardon receiver.

Tweetlite is a white plexiglass cube, 4” x 4” x 4” in dimensions. It is powered by Arduino and displays twitter messages as morse code. Each message is displayed in different colors and makes for a great mood light. It has USB and power connectivity and comes with a program that is used to enter Twitter credentials to enable the data feed visualization. It needs to be connected to a computer with an Internet connection, via USB. The patterns and colors can be customized.

I saw these cool steeping tea mugs while at Chapters, I love tea and have a number of loose teas so this seamed perfect for me. I only wish I had bought one when I had the chance as I can not find them there any more.
The diffuser sits in the top of the cup allowing the loose tea float around and do its tasty thing. The diffuser can then sit on the lid to avoid the messy tea drips.
They have an assortment of really nice colours to choose from as well. Check them out @ forlifedesign.com
Last year i bought the Sierra Designs: Buku 2 the 2 meaning 2 people, so that wont work with Aiden. This year we bought the MSR Mutha Hubba a spacious 3 person tent. much easier to set up than the Buku 2.
Our last tent was about 3.5 pounds and it was a comfy single person tent or cozy 2 person tent, the new tent weights in at around 6 pounds, and packs up nice and small. Impressive. The Mutha Hubba is a perfect car camping tent but it doesn’t have to be shon to the trunk, its small enough to go backpacking with.

The mother of all Hubbas. Our lightest, most livable 3-person tent, the Mutha Hubba provides maximum interior space along with two stay-dry entrances and two large vestibules. Use it as a double-wall tent for full protection or as a freestanding tarp shelter with optional footprint to save weight.
In total we spent 3 nights in the heat and rain and had no issues. Kristi and I both had plenty of room to dress, sit up, feed Aiden and even play with him
I would strongly recommended one to any body who’s got lots of stuff, or some one who wants a high quality tent for 3.

I bought my self a new tent the other day, the Sierra Designs Buku2. Must say I’m impressed with it. Super light its a cozy tent (smaller), many improvements over the old tent. mostly its packed size and weight. This tent wont break your back at a max weight of 5lb, its a single walled tent so it calls under the category of ultralight hybrid. I set it up in my living room and for a new tent took under 5 min to have to up and ready.
My one recommendation is to purchase new tent pegs. the ones it comes with are cheap and frankly suck! i bought the V-Steaks they are strong, light and pack together nicely. I look forward to actually using it.
We meld the best aspects of single- and double-wall shelters, yielding our ultralight Baku series. Siliconized ends of the tent function as a single-wall shelter, staying weatherproof while being light. The double vestibules cover mesh doors, improving ventilation while providing plenty of area to store gear. In addition, two end vents increase ventilation across the tent, thwarting condensation, and keeping your cool. Tent Guard with Ultra Fresh extends the life of your Baku 2 by kicking mold/mildew to the curb booyah! Blue Ridge Outdoors magazine loved the Baku 2 so much they gave it an “Editors’ Choice” award, and we think you’ll dig it, too.
I bought these collapsible camping chopsticks from snow peak and received a lot of flack from my wife and friends. They all thought it was silly. I thought it was the coolest thing ever and what better to try them then my past camping trip. (It was a 2 hour hike in the dark by head lamp in the mud with a 30Lb+ pack crossing glacial rivers then going back to get Kristi and giving her a lift.) I ate mashed potatoes with curry noodles and it worked perfect. I had hot chocolate after that and used them for stir sticks. My only downfall was in the morning when I had creamed wheat for brake fast. That was a bit hard to eat in any sort of timely manor with chopsticks. I broke down and used a spoon.
