Hello Gargo,
ZenPhoto (http://www.zenphoto.org/) is an image gallery free to download and use. Piclens is a Media RSS reader, it has been renamed to Cooliris (http://www.cooliris.com/)

may sound stupid - but i found here through another website because I was searching for some info about media rss. so you might wonder, but I really do not have a clue - what is piclens, what is zenphoto and how do they relate? of course I will now search google for this, but to say the truth one small sentence that explains it would be enough, I really do not want to open up another "research stack" of windows... but anyway, thanks!

Thanks for the script, but i had two problems with it:
1. The full images were too small
2. My the feed worked with PicLens but stopped working with other readers.

I didnt sit around and somehow (obviously by magic since ive never touched php) made my own rss file that fixes both problems. As well as that - it is the rss file which comes with the new version of zenphoto.

if anyone is interested, the lines you have to add are:
change
to

and add

<?php echo '';?>
<?php echo '';?>

sometime after category tag.

The 200 and 2000 are the sizes for the thumbnail and full image respectively, 2000 being the max - thus if image is larger it downsizes if not leaves it at what it is. (i believe u can change this in zenphoto settings to your liking)

the complete file if anyone is confused is at http://www.superoforma.com/rss.php

Hope this helps sum1

Hi Adam
Great script !

But, when I tried it (commenting the password section to avoid problems), PicLens displays black images instead of thumbnails. Have you any idea?

Unless all the features in Gallery 2 are going to seamlessly work in Wordpress with WPG2 then i think ill still stick with Zenphoto, its smaller and less of a drain on the server.

Good news for Gallery 2 users. Gallery 2 will have native PicLens support in the next major release (Gallery 2.3). Look for it in the nightly snapshot starting next week.

Of course that also means that the new slideshow module has a media RSS feed which can be used with any other slideshow program that can deal with it.

I have mine set to 350, and i think i get all 35o i definitely get more than 42, check and see if your server stops the execution, you might need to set the script execution time to like 60 seconds or so, or allow for more memory usage.

Might help.

Hi Adam,
 I was curious if you knew how many images can show up in a media rss feed for piclens using zenphoto? I have been able to get 42 to show up with piclens any more than that and piclens decides there is no media rss feed available. I found an rss document stating a 200kb limit however I know there is a way around this.. just look at google images.

Thanks.

I think you might have found a bug on Zenphotos end. I don't have any password protected folders, if you can remove the password on them and see if that fixes your problem.

I only adjusted the XML portion and left all code pertaining to passwords alone.

Give them a shout see if they can help.
